As one of the Outreach activities of Tab we maintain a close link with the Young Offenders Remand Centre at Brinsford with weekly visits by a dedicated Team to lead "Alpha" Groups with some of the inmates. These are on a very informal basis when we discuss the Christian faith and any matter relating to it. The lads choose to come and often stimulate lively discussions. We have seen a number of young men accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour and lives changed as a result. Much prayer is needed as this is the first step on what will be a long and difficult journey for most of them. Where we can, we try to link new converts to a local church when they are released.

We also arrange the Sunday Morning Service in the Prison Chapel four times a year. This is a particular joy when we are able to present the Gospel through Worship, Personal Testimony, Talks and songs. Any one is welcome to join us on these occasions particularly younger people who are able to relate to the young men.

The Prison Chaplaincy are very keen for local churches to be involved in the prison ministry. As part of this they hold a Praise and Prayer meeting once a quarter when we are kept up to date with what is happening in Brinsford. We try to attend these meetings when supporting groups from the surrounding area give great encouragement and prayer.
