As a small group of Church members, we are involved in contact with the community of Whitmore Reans and Dunstall. The group operates independently of Church based activities but none the less seeks to encourage community involvement in Church activities. Generally the group operates in three areas:
Co-ordination into other groups and agencies:
Tab is a member of both Whitmore Reans in Partnership and The Neighbourhood Environmental Action Team (NEAT) Management Group. By providing representation at these organisation's meetings Tab is able to forge relationships with the other community groups and government agencies, at the same time showing our commitment to community issues.
Direct Action:
The group organises a small number of activities each year including the May Day Fun Day. It is also involved into Whitmore Reans Unity Day which takes place in West Park alongside the City Show.
Promotion of Church Activities:
Every two months we produce and organise distribution of leaflets advertising the Church and the activities that are taking place. This leaflet is delivered to 2500 homes in the are around the Church.
